Ian C Fleming is Chairman of GQAS and also currently serves as GQAS Chief Inspector.
Ian has considerable experience of external review and accreditation processes, having managed higher education provision for the largest UK awarding body and served as a Review Coordinator for QAA and a Lead Inspector for BAC.
Sue Robertson DannellsChair of Accreditation Committee
Sue is a qualified teacher whose experience includes primary and secondary teaching across the social spectrum within the two English counties of Essex and Suffolk.
She developed her career to become a deputy head teacher, a county advisory teacher for assessment and an education officer for special needs in Suffolk. She has experience teaching young people with severe behavioural and emotional difficulties and continued this work to become an educational consultant working with two companies before joining GQAS. Quality control has been at the heart of Sue's work for the last thirty five years and much of this has been linked to inspection programmes within the education system and the development of essential documents relating to company policies and procedures.
Sue has also been the managing director of Lowestoft Porcelain, a business which she started with a colleague and involved the development of all systems and policies, hiring and training of staff, creating the environment in which porcelain items could be handmade and hand painted as well as promoting the recognition and sale of its products.
Sue has been involved with GQAS from its inception, working to deliver the necessary documents upon which the company's work is based.
Sarah ColmarChief Inspector
GQAS is an exciting process to support educational development and learner progression. Sarah is developing the process, supporting centres and the aspirations of their learners.
Sarah has internationally (Africa, Asia and Europe) supporting quality and centre development. She is experienced in a range of inspectorate processes within the UK for private and mainstream educational providers up to and including level 7.
Sarah also has experience of quality requirements of awarding organisations and qualification frameworks. "I believe this experience of working within teams and with many frameworks has provided me with the skills necessary to support our inspectorate and our centres to achieve their goals".
